Sunday night saw John Cena win the WWE “Royal Rumble” and The Rock capture the WWE title from CM Punk. It was an exciting night and has the company on its way toward “WrestleMania,” but on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, WWE “Monday Night Raw” brought about the fallout from the night before and it set up the road for a lot to come.
Tonight, it is Raw Roulette and Vickie Guerrero is in charge of things. The first spin of the wheel brings about the first match of the night, but first a word from the former WWE champion.
~ CM Punk comes out and is incredibly angry about the result of the “Royal Rumble,” and how he lost his title to The Rock on a match restart. Vince McMahon ends up coming out and says he has info from an anonymous source that Paul Heyman is working with The Shield. Later, McMahon will give Heyman a performance review that could get him fired.
~ Antonio Cesaro vs. Randy Orton with special guest referee The Miz: This wasn’t a bad match as expected, but the focus was on The Miz being the referee. Cesaro gets distracted by Miz long enough for Orton to win with an RKO.
~ Ryback’s roulette spin is “Make Me Laugh.” He goes out to the ring for a pointless segment before destroying the Prime Time Players.

~ Vickie spins the wheel for Wade Barrett, and it lands on “Player’s Choice.” He chooses to face Bo Dallas after their interaction at the “Royal Rumble” on Sunday. It ends up being a short match where Dallas gets the semi-expected upset.
~ Cody Rhodes spins the wheel and has to face John Cena. It’s another short match that sees Cena win easily.
After the match, Cena gets the mic and says he will face the WWE Champion at “WrestleMania.” The Shield comes out and destroys Cena before Sheamus and Ryback come down to get beaten down too. Cena then receives a triple powerbomb from The Shield.
~ Tensai spins the wheel and shenanigans, shenanigans, Lingerie Pillow Fight, Dance Off. Brodus Clay and Tensai, in lingerie, have a dance off and it is pointless.
~ Alberto del Rio gets a “Body Slam Challenge” with The Big Show, and this hardly even gets going before it turns into a massacre. Show knocks out Del Rio and then duct tapes him to the rope. Big Show ends up destroying Ricardo Rodriguez right in front of Del Rio.
~ The Rock comes out with the WWE belt to talk about finally winning the title again after so many years. He then runs down CM Punk before the former champion comes out onto the stage. The two go back and forth with one another in some great promo work before setting up a rematch for WWE “Elimination Chamber” in February.
~ The wheel is spun again and it lands on a “Tables Match” for Sheamus and Damien Sandow. This actually ended up being a very good match and it showed that Sandow is no pushover and not just some guy in a tag team. He held his own against Sheamus before being put through a table. Really would have liked to have seen Sandow pick up the win here, though.

~ Chris Jericho is back to talk about being happy to have returned to WWE. He is quickly interrupted by Dolph Ziggler, and they go back and forth a bit. Vickie spins the wheel and puts them together in a tag team match against Team Hell No. Some dissension between both teams before Hell No picks up the win over a chokeslammed Ziggler.
~ Vince McMahon comes out to the ring to give Paul Heyman his performance review. Heyman comes out and says he has nothing to do with The Shield. McMahon shows video footage proving that is a lie and he prepares to fire him but Brock Lesnar comes out. Heyman pleads with Lesnar to leave McMahon alone, but that doesn’t happen. Lesnar delivers an F-5 to McMahon and the show ends.
