A new season of “Project Runway” has started and you know what that means- there’s a new chance to get your own Lord & Taylor accessory wall! The contest began today as part of Lord & Taylor’s ongoing sponsorship of the hit reality television fashion competition.
This is the second straight season the luxury department store has sponsored the show. On top of outfitting the designer’s creations with a wall full of jewelry, shoes, and handbags the March 21 episode of “Project Runway: Season Eleven” will take place in Lord & Taylor’s Fifth Avenue flagship store. While the company has not yet released details on the challenge that will be facing the beleaguered designers that week it has been leaked that the winning design from that challenge will have the chance to sell their collection at select Lord & Taylor stores across the country.
“”Runway”s’ mission is very much in alignment with Lord & Taylor’s legacy of launching the careers of major American designers,” said Bonnie Brooks, president of Hudson’s Bay Co., the parent of Lord & Taylor, in a press release about their continuing support of the show.
For the accessory wall contest “Project Runway” fans simply have to “like” the store’s Facebook page and predict who the season winner will be and they will be entered for a chance at winning a $2,500 gift card to put towards building their own accessory collection. Of course, if you see something on the show that you just have to have the company has set up a special “Project Runway” landing page on their website so you can buy it before it sells out.
Lord & Taylor and “Project Runway” will have all kinds of exclusive goodies for fans throughout the season. The Lord & Taylor website will be featuring episode recaps and other insider content that won’t be found anywhere else. The company has also hinted that, as happened last season, favorite “Project Runway” designers from years past will be making a series of appearances at Lord & Taylor stores.
