Two misses were reported for Tiger Woods this week-end. Are the two events related? First there was talk that he was missing his ex-wife Elin Nordegren so much that he wanted to remarry her and may have already proposed. However, the golfer refused to discuss this with the media as was reported Jan. 18, 2013 by Golf Central from Abu Dhabi. Then the bigger news for the sports world came when the New York Times reported today, Jan. 19, 2013, “Woods Misses Cut at Abu Dhabi Championship.” We’ve seen Tiger Woods falter in his golf game when news of his mistresses surfaced. Now is this news of his desire to renew ties with his ex another distraction?
Based on the Times report, Woods was cut from the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship after being “penalized two shots for wrongly taking a free drop. Woods thought he was safe in finishing his second round at 73.”
Love and money talk distracting him from his game?
The Charlotte Observer asked yesterday “Tiger Woods wants his ex-wife back?” as the gossip rolled along like tumbleweed generated from a story in the National Enquirer. Despite its questionable history, the paper did break the cheating scandal.
Golf Central noted that Woods was asked about a report “that claimed [he] offered his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, who is rebuilding a house near Woods’ South Florida home, a $200 million pre- nuptial agreement if she will remarry him.”

Reconciliation possibility noted in January 2010
As I reported in January of 2010, despite the holiday news of Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren — he was in seclusion and she on holiday in France — MSNBC reported that a reconciliation was still possible.
They said, “Tiger and Elin still love each other,” according to a person close to the couple. “Although there is talk of divorce, and anyone can see there is a lot of work to do, they would both like to work this out.”Tiger Woods and wife want to work things out.
