Attention all New York Swedish House Mafia fans: the Swedes have finally arrived.
Tonight marks the beginning of the NY stops of Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour. If you were lucky enough to get tickets, tonight is the Black Tie Rave, the charity event hosted by the guys with all proceeds going to the Mayor’s Fund for NY, the Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund, and Save the Children. In recognition of this event, the Empire State Building will be lit up with the colors of the Swedish flag aka yellow and blue.
According to an update on the Swedish House Mafia Facebook page, the opening of the Swedish House Mafia pop-up shop at 8 West 38th Street will be tomorrow, not today as originally posted. The store will have official merchandise on sale and is open through March 4th. Be sure to stop by, especially if you weren’t able to get tickets to any of the sold-out shows.
Tomorrow, the guys make their return to Madison Square Garden, the site of their sold-out December 2011 concert (that this Examiner was at!). Pete Tong will be opening the show at 8pm followed by Armand Van Helden at 9pm and finally Swedish House Mafia at 11pm.
Saturday through Monday, the guys move to Brooklyn for 3 sold out shows at the Barclays Center. Pete Tong will be opening up Saturday, Otto Knows on Sunday and AN21 on Monday, all at 8:30pm.
To all those attending any of these shows, have an amazing time and enjoy the guys One Last Tour.
