The finale of “The Sisterhood,” on Tuesday brings closure to the Reality TV show. Each of the preacher wives and the group as a whole left the viewer with some sense of direction each with take in the future.
Christina, DeLana, Dominique, Ivy and Tara each have strong personalities, and they do not all blend well.
Christina, and her husband Anthony have a thriving marriage and church. They communicate well with each other and their children. Christina is mature, she listens more than she talks, and Anthony loves her very much. Christina is a supportive friend.
DeLana did not appear in all the episodes, but she did for the finale. DeLana and her husband is a mature couple. They prayed for Dominique and Brian’s vow renewal ceremony that nothing would go wrong. DeLana and her husband, Myles, sang, “Destiny,” at the close of the ceremony. She and Dominique made amends, but mostly likely will not be close friends.
The “Finale” centered on Dominique’s bachelorette party and renewal of vows with her husband Brian. All the girls went to Miami except DeLana, to support Dominique bring closure to her past. Tara did not go to Dominique’s old neighborhood.
Dominique gets a tattoo on her foot that reads, “Free,” indicating that she is no longer a “streetwalker, crack-head or prostitute anymore.” Christina and Ivy accompanied her to her old neighborhood, and to our surprise, Dominique informs the ladies that she had a son, Michael, years ago. The baby’s father is J-Baby (her former pimp). They all went to “The Pool,” (where all pimps and prostitutes would come together, like a juke joint). Dominique finally met with J-Baby, and now she feels she can have some closure to her past life.
Ivy is mature and openly expressive, she brings clarity to the situations that would bring strife in the group. Ivy is always going to speak out, and she will go “toe-to-toe” with anyone. She and her husband, Mark’s church, appear to be stable.
Tara acknowledges that she is not in covenant with Dominique or the other ladies. She does not communicate well with the group. Tara is always bringing condemnation on someone because she can always find something unholy about someone or something. She and her husband, Brian, are not always accepting of people. She can be too honest, to the point of, not caring; but if you need a fitness coach, check out Tara.
All in all, we hope the best for all these ladies who took a risk and exposed their secret lives to the world. Each of them has the ability to be movers and shakers in their community.
God’s blessings to them all!
