Let’s face it. A couple of weeks ago I was complaining about the 100 degree weather in January. I was waiting to experience the “real winter”. Now, February is almost over, winter is seeing its close, and I am yearning for warmer weather with the first little taste of appropriate winter weather. Each day I wake up, wishing that Spring had sprung already. This is a problem. Much like life, just as one season is about to come to a close, I impatiently wait the dawn of a new cycle, neglecting the present. Something different, something new is always my excited response to the question, “What are you waiting for?”. But alas, are these present, fleeting, ignored “end of the season” moments not the building blocks of a lifetime of memories? I’m sure the end of February would not like “it’s finally over” to be it’s epitaph, no more than I would. Because of this, I create The List.
The List has plenty of events to partake in when looking to revive your evening into the night. Whether with friends, family, or lovers, there is something on The List to zap life into even the most stubborn of wayward winter Scrooges, without having to leave the lovely area that is D.C. and it’s surrounding cities. So go, grab your smartcard, scarf, smile, and a friend or two and enjoy the moments you almost missed out on, and the memories you almost neglected to create.

See why Neyo called her the ‘new voice of women’ as she performs live tonight at Bar 7 from 6-10 pm.
