While browsing the dog event site, the Kickoff for the third annual Super Dog Sunday™ Photo Contest is under way for the 2013 time slot of Sunday, January 20th through Sunday, February 3rd. The charitable event is being hosted by Event Barkers and will benefit the Petfinder Foundation.
The event will climax with Super Bowl Sunday. The Petfinder Foundation will be able to continue their efforts of assisting animal rescues and shelters to locate forever, loving homes for homeless pets. There is even something in it for you; a contest that you can enter in which over $1,500 in prizes will be given away.
Twitter helped to prompt pre-game excitement right away on the first day of the kickoff. Twitter helped to communicate how you can learn more about improving your skills with dog photography and how to alter Petfinder photos so that they can present with a football theme.
Sponsors for Super Dog Sunday™ include the following:
§ Arenus (Arenus on Facebook and Twitter)
§ Event Barkers (Event Barkers on Facebook and Twitter)
§ Luv and Emma (Luv and Emma on Facebook and Twitter)
§ Nature’s Logic (Nature’s Logic on Facebook and Twitter)
§ Toby and Max (Toby and Max on Facebook and Twitter)
Each sponsor for this event has made charitable donations to Petfinder Foundation. In addition they have agreed to supply the prizes worth $1,500 or more. Eight winners will qualify for the prizes.
Reviews of their products will be presented on CatTipper. Links to the reviews will be displayed in many locations such as: All Things Dog Blog, 5 Minutes for Fido,Organic-Journey-Online, My Pet Allergies, and Paris and John. In addition to the prizes to be obtained by the sponsors, four fortunate readers will be eligible to win prizes offered by Gypsy Eyes Clothing.
In order to participate, you will want to consider what type of photos that you will want to enter. Either your animals or Petfinder adoptables can be portrayed. There is just one regulation: every photo that you enter must contain a football theme but remember that you can only submit one photograph per canine. If you are computer savvy and have the proper programs, the contest even allows for existing photos that are manipulated using Photoshop, giving them the required football theme.
The game rules are posted on All Things Dog Blog. There are even a slideshow of photos from the 2012 Super Dog Sunday contest in order to give you some ideas or at least some starting spots to begin your entries.
You still have time! Sunday is rapidly approaching though, so you will want to get started!
