This year Easter is early, landing on March 31, 2013, however, that does not mean there is no time left to plan your Walt Disney World “Easter” vacation. (But you may be a little bit limited, because of the crowds.) Just like Christmas, or any other holiday, spending Easter at Disney World is something everyone should experience. The decorations are breathtaking, the restaurants offer meal specials themed around the holiday and the parks and resorts have extra activities planned to guests of all ages – especially the little ones!
Not all details are finalized and/or released yet, but Disney is working in it. Let’s take a look at some of the activities being planned for Easter 2013:
Meet and Greets
The Easter Bunny and Mrs. Bunny take time to enjoy the holiday at Disney. Meet and greet locations vary, but they have been seen at select resorts and theme parks. Check back for more details!
The Easter Bunny and Mrs. Bunny do make a stop at the Magic Kingdom starting the week before Easter. Disney PhotoPass photographers will be available to capture memories for you.
Approximately 15 minutes before the 3 o’clock parade on March 31, the Easter pre-parade will take place down Main Street USA. Plus, Azalea Trail Maids will be performing along Main Street USA.
Stop by the United Kingdom Pavilion’s Garden Maze to meet up with the Easter Bunny, and Mrs. Bunny too! An Easter Egg Hunt and other holiday-themed activities usually take place here ad in the Garden near Innoventions East.
Check out the different Easter meals and buffets available throughout the Disney parks and resorts. Call 407.WDW.DINE for more details and to make your Advanced Dining Reservations. Please note that many venues may already be booked, because reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance. But it does not hurt to give them a call anyway.
Some Easter dining options include
- Easter Brunch at Epcot
- Easter Breakfast Buffet at Cape May Café (Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts)
- Easter Brunch at Captain’s Grill (Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts)
- Easter Brunch at Chef Mickey’s (Disney’s Contemporary Resort)
- Easter Brunch at The Wave…of American Flavors (Disney’s Contemporary Resort)
- Special Easter Menu at Portobello (Downtown Disney)
I will update information as it changes and new activities are released.
