The highly anticipated film prequel, ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ premieres in March and the North Shore Music Theatre is proud to present the timeless family musical that inspired it from Tuesday, July 17 through Sunday, July 28! Based on the imaginative novel by Frank L. Baum, ‘The Wizard of Oz’ tells a brilliant tale of a girl on the run from a looming wicked witch! She dreams of home accompanied by a certain lion, a tin man, and a little dog! ‘The Wizard of Oz’ will delight the entire family with high-spirited musical numbers such as, ‘We’re Off to See the Wizard,’ ‘Follow the Yellow Brick Road’ and the timeless classic, ‘Over the Rainbow.’
Next to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Phantom of the Opera,’ ‘Cats’ is the longest running Broadway musical of all time! Take a wild adventure into the musical comedy, ‘La Cage Aux Folles’ from Tuesday, September 24 through Sunday, October 6! Follow the story of partners Georges and Albin who own an outrageous Saint Tropez nightclub with drag entertainment. When Georges’ son decides to marry the daughter of a conservative politician, meeting the family will be a dinner of epic proportions.
Based on Puccini’s ‘Madame Butterfly,’ see the stunning musical of star-crossed lovers, ‘Miss Saigon’ as it hits the North Shore Music Theatre stage from Tuesday, November 5 through Sunday, November 17.
