If you’re looking for a new car, and don’t mind a drive to Quebec City, the 32nd Annual Salon de l’auto de Québec is running from March 5 through 10 at the Centre de foires d’Expocité de Québec, 250 Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard. Admission is $14 for adults, $8 for those 13 to 17, and $5 for children from 6 to 12. Children under 6 are free. A family package for two adults and two children from 6 to 12 is available for $30. March 10 is family day, with kids under 12 free before one pm. They must be accompanied by an adult.
Fisker, Bentley and Aston Martin will be present for the first time. Lotus, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Rolls Royce will also be on hand. The Nissan Versa Note, Jeep Compass, Jeep Grand Cherokee Disel, and Mini John Cooper Works GP will all be making their Quebec debut.
CAA-Québec and the Quebec government are running ÉcoZone, where consumers will have a chance to try out eight different models of electrics and hybrids, including the Ford Focus Electric, Nissan Leaf, smart fortwo electric drive, Toyota Prius hybrid, Chevy Volt and Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Hydro Québec will also be there to show off its recharging network, the Circuit électrique.
Capitale assurances générales is running a contest at their booth for $100,000 worth of leisure vehicles, including a Can-Am-Commander 1000xt, a Can-Am Spyder roadster, and a Princecraft Holiday DLX boat. They’re also offering free one-year subscriptions to your choice of nine magazines. The auto show itself is also running a contest, with the first prize being a one year lease of a Honda Civic LX, while second prize is an on-track driving package for two of a Ferrari F430 or aLamborghini Gallardo. A valid driving license is required.
