Red Widow (ABC, 9 p.m.) – “Pilot” – Marta Walraven (Radha Mitchell), a stay-at-home mom in tony Marin County, near San Francisco, has spent most of her life staying out of her father’s world of organized crime. Marta’s primary concern is to protect her three children– and yet when an FBI agent promises justice in exchange for her cooperation, she hesitates to go against the “Bratva” (Russian mob) code. Evan’s business partners– Marta’s scheming brother and their best friend– were involved in the theft of millions of dollars of cocaine from a formidable international crime boss, Nicholae Schiller (Goran Visnjic). Evan paid with his life, but as far as Schiller is concerned, his debt is not clear. It is up to Marta, as Evan’s widow, to navigate the criminal underworld in order to repay this debt – whatever way Schiller sees fit.
The Good Wife (CBS, 9 p.m.) – “Going For The Gold” – When the Justice Department refuses to reveal who will be testifying against Eli (Alan Cumming), Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) takes Assistant U.S. Attorney Josh Perrotti (Kyle Maclachlan) to civil court for defamation in order to force him to answer her questions under oath. One Project Manager takes an unorthodox approach to the task and risks mission failure, while the other team immediately deals with an internal power struggle. Fundraising on both teams sets a new record for a first task, but only one Project Manager will take it all.
Shameless (SHO, 9 p.m.) – “A Long Way From Home” – Knowing that Frank (William H. Macy) is the real reason DFS is on their case, Fiona (Emmy Rossum) decides to seek sole custody of the kids. Still in their respective foster homes, Debbie (Emma Kenney) is forced into slave labor in Kamala’s basement. Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) fights strict parental controls at Cassius and Lanier’s. Ian (Cameron Monaghan) confronts Mickey (Noel Fisher) about Terry. Frank prepares for his court appearance by getting sober and attending AA meetings.
