“[Abraham] who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.” – Romans 4:18
This past Saturday morning, as I was preparing the message for my group—a message of faith, I was overcome, overtaken, overwhelmed, and undone by the amazing anointing that came upon me. I was allowed to experience the Father’s faithfulness in greater measure: such a measure that I had never experienced before. It literally brought me off of my chair, and onto my knees, where I remained for approximately 20-30 minutes.
God transported me back to the scene, over 4,000 years ago, where He imparted His faith into the man whose faith would point to the Word-Became-Flesh: Jesus Christ. Our Father, our Ancient of Days, carries a “right-now” faith in His Hands. Reach out, reach up, and grab it, my brother! Bask in it, my sister! God wants us to have the same kind of “hope against hope” faith that He gave to Abraham. It is already yours!
You just need to believe it, receive, it, decree it, and declare it! Possess this mountain-moving faith right now! Put it on, wear it, let it envelope you! All this week, Your Most Faithful Father wants you to decree, declare, and thank Him in advance for an impartation of increase in your faith—a supernatural and accelerated increase of faith that is the most concentrated and undiluted kind of faith: the kind of concentrated form of faith that causes the supernatural power of God to break through for you into the natural; the kind of faith that brings forth and births every promise of God that you have been believing Him for!
Abraham was called by God as the Father of many nations, and the father of faith (Genesis 15:5, Romans 4:16). The name “Abraham,” in the Hebrew is Abraham (pr. Ab-raw-hawm), meaning “father of a multitude;” and this is the same Abraham whose name in the Greek , Abraam (pr. Ab-rah-am), means “Patriarch” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance). Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines a “patriarch” as “one of the scripture founders of the human race, a man who is father or founder, the oldest member or representative of a group.” Abraham, being the father of faith, possessed the purest, most concentrated kind of faith: first-fruit faith.
What the Lord gave to me concerning Abraham (back in November of 2012) is that he was a first fruit offering of faith to us by God. Faith paved the way to the greater gift, the greatest First Fruit offering of Salvation, which is Jesus Christ. In Old Testament times, people gave the first of what they grew or raised (crops and livestock) as a burnt offering to God, because the first was often the best, and it was guaranteed income. Giving away these first fruits demonstrated a reverence that God deserves our best fruit of our labor because He gives us His best; and our Father has earned our trust, as He is proven faithful to supply all of our need; thus the term “first fruits.” This still holds true today: we should give God the first hour of our day, the first day of our week, and return to Him the first tenth of our income.
God gave to us the first fruit of faith, which then would prepare the way and usher in the Savior of the world. 2 Timothy 3:15 testifies that we are made “wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” We must have faith to accept the Savior. This same faith was required in order for Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, to be able to say to the angel of the Lord “let it be unto me according to your word” (Luke 1:38). It was Mary’s faith, the faith planted by Abraham, which opened her womb and allowed God’s Holy Spirit to impregnate her with Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Son of man.
Sons and daughters of the Most Faithful Father, let your faith arise! Not just any kind of faith; but the kind of faith that cause God to get up from His mighty throne and shake heaven and earth for you! The kind of faith that causes every demon to tremble in absolute terror! The kind of concentrated faith that marries the past with the present, that causes the former and the latter rains to mingle and pour down together; the kind of faith that calls forth the manifestation of your God-spoken and God-ordained destiny.
Father, thank You that you are our faith. Thank you, Most Holy God, for being such a faithful Father. Stir up the faith of Abraham within us! Let your great measure of concentrated faith fall upon us and saturate our spirits. Let us experience you as the Ancient of Days, and envelope us with your ancient anointing, which is the most potent kind. In Jesus Name, we thank you for pouring into us, this great measure of faith, which is pleasing to You. Amen and Amen!
Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to focus on the faithfulness of the Father. Choose to cry out to God for His supernatural impartation of His mountain-moving, first-fruit faith into your spirit. Develop a habit of thanking God for His faithfulness, and thanking the Father for pouring His faith into you. And continue to fight the good fight of giving The Holy of Holies your very best—your first fruit in every area of your life; for God, Who gave you His best—His first-fruit offering, His Son Jesus Christ, has already given you the victory!
