Many people tout the benefits of cucumber but do you know why? Cucumber contains several acids that are beneficial to the skin including caffeic acid which helps reduce swelling. It’s also great as an astringent that helps to minimize pores, cool your skin after a sunburn and helps reduce oily skin and acne breakouts. No wonder cucumber is found in so many facial products! How about trying your own at home DIY cucumber lotion then? With all these benefits from using cucumber why wouldn’t you?

1 large Cucumber
Vitamin E drops (you’ll need three drops)
Almond Oil drops or Olive Oil drops (you’ll need three drops)
First thing you have to do is peel the cucumber then slice it and chopped it up. You can mash up the pieces to make them smaller with a potato masher.
Once you have it mashed take the cucumber and make it into a puree, so it releases the juice. The best way to do this by separating the juice with a colander and then make a fine puree in the blender,
once you have separated the juice, add 3 drops of vitamin E, and 3 drops of almond oil or olive oil. If you want you can even add a drop or two of your favorite scent. Once you add the oils , you have to make sure to mix it well, then put it in a container and store in the refrigerator.
And that’s it, natural cosmetics at your fingertips! Now you have an easy homemade lotion to moisturize and relax your facial skin. You can store the lotion for about a week in the refrigerator.
