As reported in an earlier column the gun grabbers are on the move, and today, Senator Dianne Feinstein’s AWB bill (S: 150) finished up it’s open hearing.
Already, the schedule for the Senate Judiciary Committee has been published.
Item 1. Committee Authorizing Resolutions.
Item 2. Nominations. (Numerous District Court Judges)
Item 3. III. Legislation – Addressing:
S.150, Assault Weapons Ban of 2013 (Feinstein)
S.54, Stop Illegal Trafficking in Firearms Act of 2013 (Leahy)
S.374, Protecting Responsible Gun Sellers Act of 2013 (Schumer)
S.146, School Safety Enhancements Act of 2013 (Boxer)
Certainly on S. 150, now that the hearings are over, it is most likely that S. 150 will come up for a vote on passing Committee. Since the other three bills have not been vetted in hearings, their fate is unknown. They could be scheduled for hearings themselves, or could be put to the vote. In any event, we will know the answer tomorrow (2/28/13) or the day after.
Speculation is that IF S. 150 passes the Committee, then the other gun related bills will also pass without a hearing as the mood of the Committee will have been established.
It is still not too late to contact your Senators, especially those Senators of yours that are on the Committee, to make your feelings known.

If your Senator is on this committee, it is time to contact them expressing your wishes these bills die in Committee. You can contact them via the following link. The Senators listed as Class 2 are up for re-election in 2014. The Class 2 Senators are more vulnerable to pressure due to the fact they are up for re-election next cycle.
