Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd’s assistance is needed in helping a priest exorcise a dead priest’s ghost at a house in Ashtabula, Ohio. Wait a minute—-a priest is exorcising another priest’s ghost? Yes, according to Nikolle Bucci. Mr. Aykroyd might drink the vodka he was promoting at a Bevmo store in La Mesa, California on Saturday, February 23, 2013, while he busts the priest. Maybe not. Fun to think about.
How did this all shake down? Mr. Aykroyd was in town to autograph bottles (or whatever celebrities autograph) of his Crystal Head Vodka (bottled in a skull-shaped bottle) and Ghostbuster movie- fan Nikolle and boyfriend, Rommel Rodriguez, drove down from Ontario, California to get his autograph.
Fun-spirited Nikolle was thrilled to meet Mr. Aykroyd and to have her picture taken beside a Ghostbuster car parked in front of the Bevmo store. Others at the well-attended event wore Ghostbuster t-shirts.
Ghostbuster Nikolle, when asked about ghosts and haunted houses, relayed the story of two haunted houses she lived in as a kid in Ashtabula. One house, at that time, was home to a priest’s ghost.
Aykroyd co-wrote Ghostbusters with Harold Ramis and acted in it. Reference www.ghostbustersiii.blogspot.com to see the plight of making a third Ghostbuster movie. A ghost hunter if ever there was born. Chasing spirits runs in the family, Dan’s brother, Peter, is a psychic researcher.
Santee, California residents Johnny and Joy Johnson waited in line since 8:30 a.m. to purchase the skulls and to meet Aykroyd. When asked when they would serve the skull-housed vodka, said “at Halloween.” Better than at a wedding or Easter dinner. Dia de los Muertos – maybe.
The Canadian born Aykroyd is remembered by some from his Saturday Night Live days, Ghostbusters movie, and many other films. Now Aykroyd is promoting “spirits” of another sort via his Dan Aykroyd Wines and other drinking enterprises.
Aykroyd is also known from his pairing up with the late John Belushi in the film The Blues Brothers. Coincidentally Aykroyd was also supposed to present an Oscar academy award for best visual effects with Belushi (who passed weeks before the ceremony) but presented it alone.
So want to know what the names of recipes for Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka are? Crystal Head Brain Freeze, Crystal Head Heads Up, Crystal Head Red Head, Crystal Head Lobotomy are all part of the online cocktail recipes for his vodka. Crystal Head “smart” comes to mind to describe Aykroyd!
Bottoms and heads up!
