An explosion of hateful Chris Brown posts has hit Twitter in response to the reported brawl between Frank Ocean and Chris Brown on Sunday night. TMZ reported on the brawl Sunday night, as police questioned Frank Ocean who has refused to press charges.
According to eyewitness reports, responsibility is not as clear- cut as some headlines seem to indicate, even though police now want to question Chris Brown who had already left for home. Twitter fans reading headlines are issuing joke posts and hate message about Chris Brown.
Previous Twitter rants and altercations have not helped the Brown’s fighting reputation to improve. Although it is common knowledge that Chris Brown has beaten Rhianna senseless, and that Rhianna seems to have forgiven him, readers are less inclined to forgive the severe beating Brown did to Rihanna. Many Twitter posts imply that since Frank Ocean is gay, he was an easy target for Chris Brown.
Twitter readers should not be so fast in making assumptions about targets. According to TMZ, eyewitness sources said that Chris and Frank were at Westlake Studio in LA; Frank blocked Chris from leaving and just like in other brawls the primary people did not start the actual physical fight. From initial reports it appears that Frank allegedly started the fight. Sources quoted Frank challenging Chris:
“This is my studio, this is my parking spot.”
TMZ reported that sources confirmed that one of “Frank’s people attacked Chris.” From the TMZ report we surmise that things sprawled out of hand pretty quickly, with Frank close enough for Chris to push away and the altercation exploded.
BET is reporting that Frank Ocean and Chris Brown have argued before on Twitter and that today, Frank Ocean has taken to Twitter to explain his side of it:
“Got jumped my Chris and a couple guys. Lol. I only wish Everest [his dog] was there. Cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the Grammys.”
Twitter posts are definitely questioning Chris Brown and coming down hard on the rapper’s rage, some even expressing sorrow that Brown did not die. Many focus on Chris moving from beating girls to beating gay guys as progress. The comments are not for the faint-of-heart. But, is this more a case of self-defense, than that of rapper rage? Time will tell, the facts are not really known yet. Meanwhile the Twitter posts keep rolling.
“I’m excited when I see Chris Brown’s name trending on Twitter. Then I’m sad when I realize it’s not because he died. #TwitterBlueBalls”
“The Frank Ocean – Chris Brown fight should finally answer the age old question of: Who can fight better? Gay dudes or crackheads?”
“If Chris Brown continues this trend of punching literally everyone he’ll eventually punch Mike Tyson and that’ll be fun to watch.”
“Chris Brown has moved from punching women to punching gay men. The deevolution of an idiot. #ChrisBrown”
“So relieved we don’t have to wait for another album to catch some of Chris Brown’s new beats!”
“The Realness: Chris Brown causing trouble again — my thoughts on breezy vs frankly http://youtu.be/9oKVebvNAUI”
There was one Twitter fan that posted a photo of the real Chris Brown. The photo is a collage of Chris Brown doing good. Sometimes even negative news does not dissuade the loyal. To be fair, the poster’s point that media is painting Chris Brown in a negative light is fair, but it is not media reports – it is police reports that paint Chris Brown’s reputation. Soon the facts will be made know after the police investigation is revealed.
