Once in a while, a new company comes out of nowhere to change the way we use the internet, communicate, purchase things we want, and essentially save time (in some instances). Google brought us search results incredibly well, Amazon changed the face of buying items online, Apple helped us manage our music and lives in a simple way, and Facebook changed the way we interacted socially.
In comes Find The Best, who’s goal is to help you find the best information about anything, quickly, and without being influenced by the companies who represent the product you are seeking. What they are doing (extremely well), is stripping down the walls of marketing, and giving you factual data to help you compare…smart phones for instance. They are aggregating the internet and streamlining the process of scouring through countless reviews from a multitude of review sites.
For example, let’s say you are in the market for a new DSLR camera, but you’re not sure which one to buy. The first thing you will do is go to Google of course and search for something like “Best DSLR cameras”, (I’ll give you a few seconds to do just that). What you will find are a ton of websites that provide reviews of various different cameras, and of course a plethora of retailers trying to sell you a camera. But it’s so time consuming to go through all of those sites, and you truly don’t really know which camera to buy in the end. So then you go to Facebook, and ask your “friends” what camera you should buy. Same deal, you get a ton of responses (if you have a lot of friends), and each response is usually different, with the occasional duplicate. But again, that leaves you scratching your head, frustrated with an overload of information.
So, you still need a camera, but you are tired of searching online, reading reviews, and asking your friends. As the Director of Product Bob Goldman and Director of Engineering Ivan Bercovich showed us at a special edition of Philly Tech Meetup in February, they are changing the Internet. If you were to type in “Best DSLR camera” in their search box, instead of getting flooded with review sites, retailers trying to sell you everything under the sun, and information overload, you get a streamlined, simple interface that provides you with every option you could possibly want to help you decide on what camera to buy. What they are providing you with is a time saving, efficient, simple way to view information about anything. It’s truly amazing and beautiful, which is why they are growing so rapidly (48 full time employees to date & 20M page views per month).
So if you are looking for some vital information on a product or service, go to FindTheBest.com and save your web surfing time for something else (like watching funny videos online). If you haven’t already tried it out, then go for it, and leave a comment here to let me know what you think of it.
