When you think about a family vacation, and someone recommends Walt Disney World, it is understandable to think “a kid’s place?”
Like I said, it is understandable, but you are wrong!
Walt Disney World is so much more than “just a kid’s place.”
It’s an award winning world class entertainment and recreation resort with something for everyone.
While multi-generational families are a big marketing target, where grandparents, parents, cousins, aunts, and uncles all gather for family reunions, Walt Disney World also caters to others in search of getting away from it all:
Couples: Empty Nesters? Newlyweds? Or just a quiet break from the regular family vacation – if you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort property, you will forget about the outside world until it is time for you to leave. Many couples wanting to spend their vacation away from the hustle and bustle of everything can find their opportunities to recharge and enjoy leisure downtime at the spas that are part of the Disney’s Saratoga Springs and Grand Floridian, where you can treat yourselves to the use of their world class spas to unwind, relax and reconnect.
NASCAR lovers: If you and your family are fans of fast cars and speedways then you are in luck! Walt Disney World has two speedways so strap yourself in and get ready to go vroom!
Adults NASCAR fans can have live out their dream of a ride-along or a driving experience at the Richard Petty Driving Experience at the Walt Disney World Speedway. For smaller NASCAR fans, they can head over to the Magic Kingdom and put their pedal to the metal at the Tomorrowland Speedway.
Love the great outdoors? If you enjoy horseback riding and roasting marshmallows by the campfire, then pitch a tent at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, where you can enjoy good eats at Mickey’s Backyard BBQ year round and then enjoy a nightly camp fire sing along. There cabins feature such amenities as a private patio, a charcoal grill and a fully equipped kitchen and sleep 6 adults comfortably. It has a fort themed water play area for smaller wilderness travelers. Rather sleep under the stars? No problem, there are four different types of campsites for you to choose from.
Love to play golf? Disney has 5 golf courses for all skill levels, plus Disney’s golf facilities are operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management who can provided lessons from seasoned instructors to give you the best learning experience whether you are just starting out or just need some extra practice.
Walt Disney World is not just a family place, it is place that offers lots of entertainment for vacationers of all types – from thrill seekers to those wanting to relax and have down time. No wonder it is called the happiest place on Earth!
