“Duck Dynasty” returned to absolutely dominate the cable ratings, according to the Nielsen cable television ratings for Wednesday, February 27, 2013.

The third season premiere of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” was huge, drawing a 3.9 rating for both new episodes. The shows pulled in 8.62 and 8.53 million viewers overall. While A&E ran other episodes all day long, they also topped the ratings, giving A&E’s show the top nine positions in the cable ratings for the night, discounting reruns of “Family Guy” and “Big Bang Theory.”
In all, A&E had twenty-one episodes of “Duck Dynasty” that landed in the Nielsen cable top 100 for Wednesday.
USA’s “Psych” premiered its seventh season Wednesday night as well, drawing a 1.0 rating and 2.94 million viewers.
In other ratings news, FX’s “Americans” drew a 0.5 with 1.44 million viewers overall, a season-low on both numbers in spite of this week’s announcement that the show would return for a second season. On TNT, “Southland” pulled a 0.4 rating with 1.18 million viewers.
