Conny, a seventeen year groomer has recently joined the Spotted Paw Shop located at 74 Danada Square West in Wheaton, Illinois. Michael and Cris Zloza are quite proud that such an experienced groomer is amongst their mix. Besides Cris who has been a groomer for nearly 15 years, Conny has the most experience.
This fantastic dog person began her career when she was a mere 16-years-old. She began as a dog bather at a very busy shop. In one short year, she decided to move on to the next step; she attended grooming school. She became a certified groomer in 1996, beginning her grooming career on the South Side of Chicago and then the past eight years at another shop in Wheaton.
Conny specified that her favorite thing about her grooming career is her ability to be able to take care of the animals that she grooms. Unfortunately for Conny, she currently does not have her own dog but plans to get one to add to her family as soon as her small child grows a bit older. Conny does have two cats that keep her family company until then.
Right now, Conny has been at the ‘Paw’ for about two weeks. Her normal workweek will be about four or five days per week – or more if the shop continues to be as busy as it is right now.
The newest Spotted Paw groomer loves the set-up of the organization. She also loves the way that Michael and Cris cater to their employees; stating that those that work for the Zlozas feel nothing short of respect.
She was very happy when she discovered the Spotted Paw want ad on petgroomer.com. The groomer and the business owners emailed back-and-forth for about three months before Conny decided to take the plunge. It was important to her as a professional to give courtesy to her past shop and help them through the Christmas season. The fact that Mike and Cris respected her decision made her move all the more easy for her! It is so much easier to work with and for individuals with like attitudes – especially when those attitudes bear the highest of respect for all involved!
Michael and Cris opened the doors to Spotted Paw a year ago last November. Since then their success ratio has grown to the extreme. Their community involvement never ceases to amaze and the fact that they seek to find excellent personnel such as Conny makes them all the more endearing.
As far as Conny is concerned, she wants to make Spotted Paw her permanent residence for her career choice. She is inviting you to stop in and check out her work; your dog will thank you for taking that time!
