The “Celebrity Apprentice” winner for 2013 was announced Sunday night by Donald Trump after a live airing of the season finale in New York. USA Today reports May 20 that the show’s winner was Trace Adkins.
It came down between the country superstar and magician talent, Penn Jillette. It was a hard call, but in the end Trump chose Adkins to win the grand $250,000 prize.
The “Celebrity Apprentice” winner managed to raise an amount of $1,554,072 for his cause, the American Red Cross and Jillette raised a total of $598,655 for his cause, Opportunity Village.
Lil’ Jon was given $100,000 by Trump for his cause, American Diabetes Association.
“Trace clearly demonstrated that he has what it takes to be a winner,” Trump said. “Trace is a star all the way and now joins Piers Morgan, Joan Rivers, Bret Michaels, John Rich and Arsenio Hall as winners of the toughest reality show on television today. I’d also like to salute Penn, who was also a very impressive player.”
