Predictions for cancelled TV shows of 2013 are being weighed in a new report by Yahoo! TV Feb. 28. Which NBC, ABC, and CBS shows will be cut and renewed for fall 2013? FOX and The CW will also be added in these predictions.
Viewers shouldn’t expect to see “Smash” on NBC get renewed for a third season. It did well for the first season, but dipped below 4 million viewers in season 2. The same fate stands for the network’s other show, “Community.”
ABC’s “Last Man Standing” and “Malibu Country” are believed to be cut when the official TV cancellations comes out.
“Vegas” on CBS has big name stars such as Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis. The show is expensive to produce and is predicted to be on the cancelled list.
ABC’s “Happy Endings” might be on the chopping block when it comes to cancelled TV shows for 2013. A doomed sign for the show began when it went from Wednesdays to Tuesdays to Sundays, and now Friday nights.
“The Carrie Diaries” on The CW barely got 1 million viewers last week. It’s not expected to see another season — nor is “Beauty and the Beast.” “Hart of Dixie,” however, is predicted to be renewed for another season.
Shows predicted to be renewed are NBC’s “Parenthood.” The show will likely see a season 5 with nearly 5 million viewers.
ABC’s “Nashville” is a new series, but they have a viewership of nearly 6 million. The show has been recognized by the Golden Globes and have fans downloading music via iTunes. As of now it’s not predicted to be part of the 2013 TV cancellations. Don’t be surprised to see a second season in fall 2013.
CBS’ “The Good Wife” is likely to see another season with Julianne Margulies. “Hawaii Five-0” is also predicted to be back for at least one more season this fall.
“The Mindy Project” and “The Following” on FOX are anticipated to see another season renewal. “Raising Hope” may also see a renewal.
