After being asked whether the new “Borderlands 2” DLC which would raise the current level-cap in the game would be coming out by the end of March, Randy Pitchford today responded that time will tell as there’s a lot to the process but didn’t outright say no. Instead he simply responded, “We’ll see. It’s turned out to be a huge amount of work.”
So while the President of Gearbox Software didn’t say yes, but he also definitely didn’t say no. In the past, when asked questions like this, Pitchford would usually state that they aren’t ready to make such announcements. So his vague answer might mean that the DLC is closer than what was originally expected.
Earlier this week, Randy Pitchford confirmed that the developer has indeed started work on new DLC add-ons for “Borderlands 2” that will increase the level-cap and add a new playable character class to the game. These packs won’t be included in the current DLC Season Pass and Pitchford isn’t commenting, at this time, whether these will be paid add-ons or not.
“Borderlands 2” is out now on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC/Mac. Three of the four campaign DLC packs that will comprise the game’s first Season Pass have also released on all systems. Randy Pitchford has always considered himself an entertainer who strives to please his fans.
