According to Ign.com, Ubisoft has officially confirmed the next installment in the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise. The game will be called “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag” and it will be available for the Wii U, Xbox 360, PC and Playstation 3. There is little known about the title, but considering the trend of the series, it is likely that the game will be released sometime this holiday season. Also, it is likely that the game will be made for the Playstation 4 and the next Xbox, depending on when they are released.
Due to an embargo on information that Ubisoft currently has in place, there is little known about the new title. However, there is some information that is known. The game will take place in a new time period and will star a new hero, according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. Also, some inferences can be made from the box art. The box art suggests that the game will be related to pirates in some way. It is unknown whether the player will be a pirate or will be trying to stop pirates in whichever time period the game takes place in. More information will be made available on March 4, 2013, when Ubisoft will be officially announcing the title.
